Where can I stay in St. Tropez for cheap? would you recommend any good hostels or bed & breakfast inns?
deek asked:
I am visiting St. Tropez for a week and I wanted to know if anyone knew of a cheap place to stay in St. Tropez. I’m specifically looking for hostels and low priced bed & breakfast inns. Thanks

I don’t know of any place but did you check their website? It lists all types of accomodation available:
St-Tropez is not exactly the best place to find cheap accomodation…
You might try staying in nearby Cogolins at the Hotel du Golfe, about $98 per night and 4kms from the beach, 7 kms from St.Tropez.
Otherwise check other nearby towns like La Croix Valmer ot St. Raphael across the bay from St. Trop.
I’ve never heard of cheap accomodations in St. Trop proper.
i just made a reservation for 2 days in june, the cheapest hotel i found in old village is 100€/night, there is camping maybe if you want…
cheap place in st. tropez ? hahahaha…. st trop’ is NOT a cheap place. if you re lookin for a “cheaper” place, try go to Fréjus or Saint-Raphaël. it’s not quite far, and you could go easily to st. trop (but the all-the-day car jams on the roads around st tropez). btw you dont need 7 days to visit st trop, it’s a little village and it’s quite boring the day (too much tourists) : you could stay in another city in the vicinity and go 1 day in st trop if you absolutely want to visit (church, museum, harbor = 1 day).
I work here in St-Tropez, and I can tell you, there is no cheap hotel around !
The cheapest accomodation is what is called “camping à la ferme”.
It’s a small and private “mobile home” camp site. You will find them in every villages around St-Tropez.
An alternative to stay in St. Tropez is to stay in St. Raphael and take the boat (1 hour-ride, 2 round trips per day) to St-Tropez. This option is particularly interesting if you’re travelling by train instead of by car. Note that St. Tropez beaches are far from downtown.
